Privacy Policy — Drip
Short version: Drip does not require an account and does not operate a developer-owned backend for storing your subscription information. Information you enter into Drip is stored locally on your device. However, the free version uses the AppLovin MAX advertising and mediation SDK, and AppLovin (and, where mediation is enabled, its advertising partners) may collect and process certain device, advertising, interaction, diagnostic, and identifier information for advertising, measurement, analytics, and fraud-prevention purposes. Google Play processes purchases made through Google Play Billing. These third-party services operate independently under their own privacy policies and terms.
1. Who we are
Drip — Subscription Tracker ("Drip", "the App", "we", "us", or "our") is published by PetraByte, an independent developer.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or the App's privacy practices, contact us at bytepetra@gmail.com.
2. Information stored locally by Drip
Drip is designed to work without a user account and without a developer-operated server for your subscription records.
Depending on the features you use, Drip may store the following information locally in the App's private storage on your device:
- Subscription names or service names
- Prices and currency information
- Billing cycles and renewal dates
- Categories
- Optional notes that you enter
- Reminder preferences and locally scheduled reminder information
- App settings, such as language and display preferences
- The local state associated with your Drip Pro purchase
We do not receive these subscription records on a PetraByte-operated server and we do not have remote access to the locally stored records.
3. Information collected or processed by third-party services
Although PetraByte does not operate a backend that receives your subscription records, Drip integrates third-party services required for advertising and purchases. These services may process information independently of PetraByte.
3.1 AppLovin MAX
The free version of Drip displays advertisements using the AppLovin MAX advertising and mediation SDK. AppLovin states that its SDK may collect and process certain information from end users of publisher apps for advertising, analytics, and fraud-prevention purposes.
Depending on the SDK version, configuration, device, consent status, and features being used, this may include:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate a device's general location.
- Device and advertising identifiers, which may include the Android Advertising ID (GAID), App Set ID, and vendor identifiers.
- Device and network information, such as device make, model, hardware, operating system, screen and display properties, battery, storage, memory usage, connection type and speed, and browser user-agent / HTTP header information.
- Advertising and tracking preferences, such as opt-out and restriction signals applicable to your device.
- Advertising and measurement information associated with ads served, viewed, or interacted with.
Drip does not pass AppLovin an account email address, phone number, or publisher-assigned user ID, since Drip has no user accounts to supply one.
AppLovin may use information obtained from apps that use its services to provide advertising, measure advertising performance, maintain and improve its services, and protect against fraud and abuse. Because AppLovin MAX is a mediation SDK, it may also pass relevant information to other integrated advertising networks and to third-party measurement partners operating under the Open Measurement Working Group to perform ad measurement and verification. The identity and number of active mediation partners can change over time according to AppLovin's mediation configuration.
AppLovin states that it implements reasonable measures to help secure the information it collects, and that it does not knowingly collect personal information from, or serve advertisements to, children.

3.2 Advertising personalization and consent
Where applicable, advertising personalization and the processing of information for personalized advertising are subject to the user's choices, applicable law, AppLovin's policies, and the consent mechanisms configured for the App.
In jurisdictions that require valid, specific, and informed consent for personalized advertising, Drip is intended to obtain that consent before requesting personalized ads, using AppLovin's supported consent tools. Ads should only be requested according to the applicable consent state and the configuration of the App.
Users can review how AppLovin's advertising works, and can use AppLovin's own privacy controls, at:
Users can also manage advertising personalization and reset the Android Advertising ID through their Android device settings where those controls are available.
3.3 Google Play Billing
Drip may offer a one-time "Drip Pro" purchase through Google Play Billing. Purchases are processed by Google Play.
PetraByte does not receive or store your full payment card number, bank-account credentials, or other payment credentials used by Google Play to process a purchase.
Google Play may provide the App with information necessary to determine whether a purchase or entitlement is valid. This information is used to provide the purchased functionality and maintain the purchase state.
For information about Google's handling of information, please review the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Play Terms of Service.
4. Information we do not collect directly
Drip does not require you to create an account and does not ask you to provide your name, email address, telephone number, contacts, bank account credentials, or payment card details to PetraByte for normal use of the App.
Drip does not intentionally collect subscription records, notes, or other information that you enter into the App on a PetraByte-operated server.
This section describes PetraByte's direct collection practices. It does not exclude information that may be collected or processed by integrated third-party services such as AppLovin or Google Play.
5. Permissions
Drip requests only the Android permissions that are necessary for the features enabled in the published version of the App.
If notification permission is requested, it is used to provide local renewal reminders. Notification-related scheduling is performed locally by the App.
Drip does not require access to your contacts, precise location, camera, microphone, or financial accounts for its subscription-tracking functionality. Drip never connects to your bank.
The permissions used by a particular release may change as features are added or removed. Any new sensitive permission or data practice will be disclosed as required by Google Play policies and applicable law.
6. Data sharing
PetraByte does not sell your locally stored subscription records.
PetraByte does not intentionally transmit your subscription records to advertisers or advertising networks.
AppLovin and Google Play are integrated third-party services and may independently collect, process, or share information as described in their own policies. Their processing is necessary for purposes such as advertising delivery and measurement, fraud prevention, and purchase processing.
7. Data retention and deletion
Subscription records, settings, and other information stored locally by Drip remain on your device until you delete them using the App's available controls or remove the App, subject to Android's storage behavior.
Uninstalling Drip normally removes the App's private local storage. PetraByte does not retain a server-side copy of your local subscription records.
Information processed independently by AppLovin or Google is subject to their own retention and deletion practices. Please refer to their privacy documentation, and the AppLovin data request portal linked above, for information about managing such data.
8. Security
Drip is designed to minimize data collection by keeping subscription information on the user's device instead of transmitting it to a PetraByte-operated backend.
Data transmitted by integrated third-party advertising services is handled according to those providers' own security practices. AppLovin states that it implements reasonable measures to help secure the information it collects.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of information processed by third-party services, and users should review the security and privacy practices of those providers.
9. Children's privacy
Drip is a general-audience subscription-tracking utility and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.
Drip does not require an account and does not intentionally collect personal information from children on a PetraByte-operated server.
Advertising and other third-party services may apply their own age-related, child-directed, and privacy controls. The App's advertising configuration must be operated consistently with AppLovin's Publisher Policies and the audience settings declared in Google Play.
10. Your choices and controls
Depending on your location, device, account settings, and applicable Google services, you may have controls for:
- Managing or resetting the Android Advertising ID
- Reviewing or exercising privacy choices through AppLovin's data request portal or Privacy Management app (linked above)
- Reviewing or changing consent choices presented through AppLovin's applicable consent tools
- Managing your Google account privacy settings (for Google Play Billing)
- Removing Drip and its locally stored application data
AppLovin provides information about how its advertising works at How AppLovin shows you ads.
11. Third-party services and links
Drip relies on third-party services including AppLovin MAX and Google Play Billing. These services are not controlled by PetraByte.
Their collection, use, sharing, retention, security, and other processing practices are governed by their respective policies and terms. We recommend reviewing the applicable Google documentation for the most current information.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App's features, data practices, third-party services, legal requirements, or applicable Google policies change.
When we make a material change to the way the App handles user data, we will update this page and the effective date before or when the changed practice becomes applicable, as appropriate.
